Functions Supervisor

Do you have a knack for coordinating epic events and making everything look easy? We’re on the hunt for Functions Supervisors who are the leaders of magic behind our events. You and your team will be the heroes of our guest’s events, ensuring everything runs smoothly and that they leave having had an unforgettable experience. This is a casual role, with 25-30 hours a week available*.

Things you will champion:

  • Coordinate and supervise events, including weddings, corporate functions, and social gatherings.
  • Be the point of contact for clients on their event days
  • Manage event setup and breakdown, ensuring all details are executed flawlessly.
  • Supervise and support event staff and provide efficient briefings to staff
  • Working closely with kitchen team/ floor staff to ensure food is coming out in a timely manner and all guests are receiving evening servings
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless event execution.
  • We’re one team on dream – in the absence of functions you will assist with hosting in our bistro! You will meet, greet, educate and seat our guests. You are the first impression for our guests so nailing those key points above is paramount to the success of the business.

What we need from you:

  • A genuine investment in making peoples day!
  • Proven experience in event management or a similar supervisory role.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Good with people and great at leading them!
  • Experience in supervising weddings preferred not required
  • Ability to help all departments
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality events.
  • Ability to handle pressure and problem-solve effectively.
  • Hold a valid RSA
